Getting out of the city for a few weeks to see the islands. Taking an overnight ferry (8 1/2 hours) from Pireaus (the Athens port) to Chania, Crete. I had to go to two travel agents to make this happen because my route is a little unusual.

finally catching up with your adventures, too bad you're not meeting anyone or doing anything exciting :P
The North Caroline beach is fine, but Greek islands sound very, very fine. Take it all in deep.
