We're eating. A lot.
Last night we had a braai (I think that's the right way to put it) that included chicken legs and boerewors. Braai = charcoal grill. Boerewors = farmer's sausage. Naturally, we had pap as well. I have been warned I may gain many kilos eating the South African diet.

Katie ... got your card from Istanbul and now you're in S Africa. Love your blog and it must be tough to keep it go;ing with pictures yet. I remember when I was in Ethiopia in 1974 and we were taking pictures (for ads) and many times the people became angry and threatened to hurt our flour-white bodies if we didn't stop. Something about death and images of the living and so we stopped taking pictures without arranging payment and doing much explaining beforehand. The animals didn't seem to mind, though. But of course they couldn't talk ... so they growled and made threatening gestures. Stay well. Love, Dick
I work for a living. I have a couple of degrees - BA in Political Science from the U. of Mississippi. MA in Environment, Politics, and Globalization from King's College London. I play bass. No husband. No kids. No debt. No house. Seems like a good time to travel.
