Turkish Delight (lokum to the Türks) is a gelatin-type of sweet thing covered ın powdered sugar. I think the traditional flavor is rosewater but there are a million types to buy. There are also non-traditional versions that are marshmallow-y and have nuts or are covered in coconut. I used to think I hated Turkish Delight but I had only had the Cadbury version in London. That one is covered in chocolate and the gelatin bit is too gooey. The real stuff is pretty good. I don't think it's worth shipping boxes of it back though...you'll have to come to Turkey!
I work for a living. I have a couple of degrees - BA in Political Science from the U. of Mississippi. MA in Environment, Politics, and Globalization from King's College London. I play bass. No husband. No kids. No debt. No house. Seems like a good time to travel.
