Pap and Runaways.

Had my first taste of pap (sounds like pop) today. Pap is a staple. It's just like polenta, but a bit more stiff, so you can eat it with your fingers if you like. We had chicken, runaways, and cabbage. Runaways are chicken feet (nails and all) which I declined today, but perhaps will try another day... Perhaps.

good luck with your classes tomorrow!

No grass hut. A regular house, with a regular family, in a township just outside of Pretoria.

Ahhhh. Makes me miss SA. Give my love to Vincent and Gloria, but I think your decision not to eat the chicken feet was a wise one.
