Phnom Penh = Penh's Hill
Wat Phnom = Hill Temple. A woman found three buddhas on the site and Phnom Penh was born (also conveniently located at the confluence of the Tonle Sap and Mekong rivers, not bad for trading with the Chinese, Laotians, and Vietnamese).
I work for a living. I have a couple of degrees - BA in Political Science from the U. of Mississippi. MA in Environment, Politics, and Globalization from King's College London. I play bass. No husband. No kids. No debt. No house. Seems like a good time to travel.
