The Bus We Rode In On...
Well, one just like it. There is no such thing as "full" on any form of transport in India, so the aisles were packed and people were hanging out the doors the whole way (yes, for fourteen hours). Behind us, a woman was vomiting out the window and in the aisle a man was vomiting on my backpack, which I chose not to send up to the roof rack. Forgot to mention that.

I hope I'm not being insensitive, but this image cracks me up. I'm going to print it out. Alysson
I had to keep my backpack, there's no replacing it. I emptied it and gave it a good scrubbing with detergent (bleach didn't translate in the shop). The smell remains, faint, but still present.
I work for a living. I have a couple of degrees - BA in Political Science from the U. of Mississippi. MA in Environment, Politics, and Globalization from King's College London. I play bass. No husband. No kids. No debt. No house. Seems like a good time to travel.

GROSSS!!! did you keep your backpack?
Insensitivity. Eh.

Why were there so many people vomiting on the bus? Is there a special reason, or is that something that normally happens?
